We met up with Jen & Mark, some of our ex-clients, that live in Denver, for breakfast. It was great to catch up, and see how the family is doing, accounting-wise, after our retirement. They also own a Class C RV, so it was fun the share stories. And, they enjoy Colorado outdoors, so it was a lot of lively conversation.
I dropped Peter off at the RV, and I went up to Shanti's and picked up Shilah and Serena. We went back down the mountain, to a local, large, busy, Thrift shop. The girls needed clothes for school. Of course, for Serena, the only jeans acceptable were ones with rips in them (you know, the ones that I would have said were ready for the trash, or to be cut off into shorts). We stopped at the ice cream parlor up in Conifer on the way back. It was delightful to spend time chatting with them both. When we are all together, the kids tend to go off and play together, and the adults do the same, so I don't usually get a chance to just talk with them.
Finally, we met up with Gabe for dinner at P.F. Changs. The rest of his family were off with Andrea's Mom at Steamboat Junction for the weekend, so it was just Gabe. Very nice dinner.
I do love my children and grandchildren!
