The road today was just incredible. I love the Montana landscape. All mountains and valleys. Today we saw horse farms for the first time. It is much more populated here than in eastern Montana. We went by Missoula, a significant town, and Polson, right at the south end of Flathead Lake. We drove along the east side of Flathead Lake, for about 40 miles. This is a huge, long, beautiful lake, with mountains surrounding it.
I was not aware that Montana is well know for growing Huckleberries. I didn't even know what they are, but they are very popular around here. Also, cherry trees grew all along the Flathead Lake western shore. Didn't know they grew here either.
Arrived at the North American RV resort, about 8 miles from the Western entrance to Glacier National Park. We will be here for 5 nights, with full hookup. It is an RV parking lot, but a nice one. When we arrived, Peter was feeling sick, and has basically slept the rest of the day and evening.
I spent the afternoon perusing the Glacier National Park website, and the brochures about the area to plan our stay. Made dinner, and walked about the campground a bit.
