We went on into the Two Medicine Lodge, which overlooks the Two Medicine lake, and ate our lunch outside. However, it was very, very windy, with white caps on the lake, and rather cold. We needed our heavier jackets. So instead of going out on a lake cruise, we decided to continue on around the eastern side of Glacier park, and enter into the park from the St. Mary's western entrance. This entrance leads to the Going-to-the-Sun road, which is the only road connecting the eastern and western sides of the park. I traveled the first part of the road on Friday, on the Red bus tour, up to Logan Pass. But since Peter was feeling well enough, and I was feeling brave enough to drive the windy, sometimes steep, switchbacked road, we DID IT. So I can now say "I drove the Going-to-the Sun Road in Glacier National Park"! It took us a few hours, what with stopping at all of the turnouts, and the Logan Pass Lodge. But the views were phenomenal. I think Glacier is my favorite national park so far.
Pizza and salad dinner at the local pizza bar & grill. Tasty, and nice ambiance.

Daughter and friends echo your comments about Glacier National Park. Glad to see Pete feeling better.
