Well. . . today was a bust. Since Peter has been sleeping, non-stop now for three days, we decided to take him to the Urgent Care at the Glacier Park entrance. They were really wonderful folks. However, he was concerned that Peter might have pneumonia, even though he doesn't have the typical symptoms. So, he had us go to the emergency room at the Whitefish hospital, about 20 miles away. We ended up spending most of the day there, with them conducting more and more tests, ruling out various causes. Good news is that they didn't find anything, bad news is that they didn't find anything to fix. So, the current conclusion is a virus, that hopefully will pass on its own, within a week or two. The problem is that he has absolutely no energy. That is a big problem, since we are spending 5 days here at Glacier National Park, where most of the activities include incredible hikes. AND, they recommend that you do not hike alone. Oh well, we will work it out. The important thing is for him to just get better.
I have decided that I REALLY like this northwestern Montana. I like all the people we have met, the mountain landscape, the cooler weather, the streams and lakes. Not sure I'd like the winters.
Since the day was a bust, when we got back to the camp late this afternoon, I did some laundry and washed the front of the RV. It had BUGS smattered all over the window and entire front hood and fenders.
Dinner, a walk around the campgrounds looking at the mountains surrounding us, then to the blog.
Hey --Peter is actually sitting up and working on his blog! Very Hopeful.
