Peter & I hung out at the RV campgrounds for the morning. We walked around the two large loops and explored the area. It was a beautiful, sunny day, so we relaxed and enjoyed. Tamara and family met us at the campgrounds after lunch. The kids played on the playground right behind us, and then we went to the beach at the Sand Bar State Park. This park is right at the beginning of a narrow causeway that connected the mainland with South Hero, one of the many islands in the lake. The beach was perfect for the kids, as it was very shallow, way out into the lake. And, that made the water nice and warm. The beach was lined with big shade trees, so folks who didn't want to bake in the sun, were able to hang out in the shade. Perfect for everyone.
We went our separate ways for dinner and the rest of the evening. The campground was hosting an event call "Christmas in July". So during the morning the campground brought out its firetruck and gave all of the kids a ride in it around the campgrounds. At 10pm at night, they did another parade with the firetruck with Xmas lights, and followed by many of the family's electric golf carts.
