August 15 - day off that the Thousand Trails Lake Kennisee RV campground, Jefferson, OH

It is a beautiful, partly sunny day, in the mid 70's with a nice breeze.  What a delight after the really hot, humid days we had.  We decided to take the day off and just relax.  We did a walking loop around the lake, and then the campgrounds.  I ate lunch outside, and brought the computer out to the picnic table to work on my blogs.  Finished my knitting sample for my next NICU baby blanket.  Before our morning walk, we had a really nice chat with the folks next to us, the ones with 5 kids, comparing RV travel experiences.

As I was sitting outside at the picnic table, blogging, I noticed the folks walking by that had just pulled their Class C RV into a site a couple down from us.  So we chatted for quite a while, standing in the sun.  Then Peter came out and joined us, and we invited them to sit in the shade and continue visiting.  So, they went and brought over their chairs, and we had a really nice time talking about everything under the sun.  They currently have a house in FL, and another place in CA.  So they RV in between.  We have been to a lot of the same places.

After dinner, we had a really engaging family Zoom call.  Both Shanti & Gabe's families were on it, along with Tamara's family, so it was nice to catch up.  Had some interesting Covid-related discussions.  Both Shanti & Gabe are planning on coming into MA for Brandon's wedding in October.  All the kids will be there, so I am sorry that I will miss it.
