Sept 8 - Rifle, CO, Rifle Museum

We needed a day to restock, do the laundry, and hang out.  So we went in to the town of Rifle, which has a newer retail section, and went to Walmart, then found a nice laundromat.  We noticed an interesting town museum while walking the few "downtown" tourist blocks.  It was actually really interesting, showing a lot of the history of Rifle, and what brought folks to this remote area.

Then we found a nice park/rest area that had shaded picnic tables, with great internet.  So we sat and did some computer stuff for a while.

The road back up to the Rifle Gap State Park goes through a really beautiful mountain gap, with mountain "fins" sticking out.  Very interesting to see.  Back to the RV, dinner, and a nice walk around our campsite loop, chatting with some folks along the way.
