Typical routine --we hung out for the morning, but then decided to drive back over to the Lake McConaughy dam, and instead of going around that reservoir, we went to the lake flowing out of the dam, Lake Ogallala. This was a much more inviting, appealing park area. Nice picnic areas, walking trails by the lakeside, green grass and shade right at the water's edge. Very nice place to spend a hot afternoon, relaxing and reading.
On the way back to the RV, we stopped at this little park, where it is purported that three historic trails met -- the Oregon Trail, the Texas Trail, and the Pony Express. And, more importantly, this is a location on Peter's Ingress game that he wanted to capture. Oh well.
