It turned out to be a beautiful, sunny day (somewhat unusual thus far in Oregon). However, we decided to seek out the Walk-In Clinic in Lincoln City. I have had an itch on my back, for the last two months, that won't go away. I finally decided to have it looked at, just to be sure. It turns out that it MIGHT be nothing, it might be a mole-like thing growing, and it might just go away. They gave me a stronger anti-itch prescription, and said if it gets worse, or doesn't go away, I should have it looked at when we return to MA in November.
We then spent the rest of the afternoon back at the Pacific City coffee shop. It took me all afternoon to post the last two days, and enter the photos. The shop closes at 6pm, so we went across the road to the Pelican Pub and Brewery. We put in our reservation, for an hour later, and went down to the beach to watch the sunset and the surfers. This is Cape Kiwanda beach, and it is much more crowded on a sunny Saturday than it was on a cloudy weekday. You can drive your car right on to the beach. I was amazed how many surfers there were, lined up, bobbing in the water. I counted at least 32 surfers. The sun going down behind Haystack Rock was super picturesque.
We went in for a very good dinner, overlooking the ocean. We had some of their craft brewed beer--very good. It was really nice to be sitting by the ocean, drinking a beer, watching the sun go down, watching the people and the surfers. What a relaxing, delightful life.
