Sept 7 - on to the Olympic Peninsula, Washington

We drove south of Seattle and Tacoma, Washington and then back north to the northern Olympic Peninsula.  On the way over to the peninsula, we needed to cross over the Squamish Harbor on a drawbridge.  The red lights to stop came on just before I was going to cross, so I got to be the first in line as the drawbridge was raised.  I've never watched one go up before.  This one didn't tilt, but instead the entire road was just raised.  Took a while, but was fun.
Our RV campground is near Sequim, Washington, on the Miller Peninsula, near Diamond Point.  That is a bluff overlooking the Salish Sea and the Haro Straight.  Our campground is a "staging area", NOT overlooking any water, but it does have full hookup.  We arrived in time for a late lunch, after setting up.  Then I went into Sequim and did the laundry.  Back to the RV for dinner.  By then, we were ready to just hang.  The internet was spotty, so we blogged a bit, and called it a night, and just read.
