Sept 26 - on to the Portalnd, Oregon area

We left the Lake Mayfield RV Marina and Resort this morning, but not before we heard an interesting story.  Yesterday, the Police Department Divers came to do a dive on a newly discovered car that they found in the water just offshore from the marina.  Apparently, the Power company that controls the dam that controls the water level in the lake needed to lower the water in the lake so various folks could make needed repairs around the lake.  While the water was low, they discovered the car.  They were concerned that there might be a body in the car, and that it might be a crime scene, so they had to bring in the police.  The divers did not find any body, but they couldn't open the trunk to be sure.  They did get the license plates, and determined the car was a 1980's car.  They are looking up the owner, but all of the records are archived.  Anyways, interesting story.
We left for Portalnd area.  This RV resort is huge, and very nicely landscaped, but it has a lot of permanent residences.  So the place has the feel of a motor home park, but even spaced closer together.
Since we are back in civilization, I went to Whole Foods and Trader Joe's to stock up on items I couldn't get otherwise.  We had dinner, and went to the nearby Walmart (ugh) to get Peter's prescriptions.

No photos today.
