Oct 20 - on to Hot Springs, Arkansas

We got up a bit early as we wanted to do a thorough cleaning of the black tank before leaving our site.  The trip over to Hot Springs, Arkansas was a bit long for us, 5 hours including a stop for lunch.  I can definitely say that we are no longer in a semi-arid part of the country.  North east Texas, and now western Arkansas is DEFINITELY green.  It even has rolling hills.  So now, instead of looking at flat fields of green, with a few trees scattered here and there, there are rolling green fields lined with green trees.  In fact, in Arkansas, if the place isn't cleared, it is covered with trees.   It almost feels like home.  And, the air is much more humid.  So, 80 degrees in the sun feels hot, versus very comfortable in the drier climates.

Our RV campground this time, is a small one located on the Ouachita River.  This river is very extensive and has a lot of different dammed up areas forming what look like lakes.  We originally had a site in their "parking lot" section, but it was so out of level that we couldn't put enough leveling blocks to get the RV level enough.  So, we upgraded to a beautiful site along the river, which is completely level.  VERY NICE.
