Oct 10 - Rainy day at Tucumcari, NM

We had planned on going over to the nearby State Park, around the large lake today.  However, it has rained all day, only just now (3pm) clearing up.  We have discovered that our RV must have a leak in the roof area, as for the first time, we have water leaking onto the bedroom floor.  If it is a roof seal that is leaking, I would be very displeased with Gander RV, where we had them do a thorough check on all of the RV systems before setting out on this journey, including checking all of the seals-on the roof and around the windows.  I am already not happy with their services, as a few days before we left, we needed to replace both cabin  batteries, as they were damaged over the winter.  Gander never even checked the batteries in their "full systems check".

We are both catching up on our blogs, and me with some bookkeeping.  It's sort of a nice break to take a day off from sightseeing.  Although, as we have actually accomplished our travel goals by visiting 1) the boys in Colorado, 2) the National Parks in southern Utah, and 3) Canyon DeChelly in Arizona, we are now on the homeward trek of our current westward journey.  As such, we really just reserved places along the homeward route that was about 200 miles apart.  So, if there is something interesting to see at each stop, that is just a bonus.  We do have two visits planned on the way home -- in Dallas to see William and family (Peter's son), and in Hot Springs, Arkansas to see my Peace Corp volunteer friend.  More about those later.

No photos today.
