Oct 14 - spending the day at William's house in Dallas, TX

William had to work, and Cat needed to do her remote teaching, so we got to play with River.  Later in the morning, it had stopped raining, so we drove over to the nearby White Rock Lake Park, with a beautiful walking/biking trail around the lake.  Cat, River, Peter and I had a delightful walk along the water.  About 2-1/2 miles round trip.  I think we wore Cat out.  River had a nice nap, though.  The lake had a lot of large birds--great blue herons, pelicans, egrets and cormorants, all sitting on branches sticking out of the water.

We hung out with Cat and River back at the house for the afternoon, playing in the backyard.  One of the dogs wore Peter out by chasing the ball she (the dog) kept retrieving.  William came home from work and we had a really tasty Middle Eastern dinner delivered.  Then, back to our RV.  Except, this time, we took a route that went north of the city, instead of through it.  Much better, except for the traffic accident on the highway that stopped traffic for 20 minutes.  Oh well.
