Oct 13 - Rainy day in Bridgeport, TX, then to William's in Dallas, TX

Rain on and off all day.  So, catching up on computer stuff.  We are meeting up with William's family at a restaurant in Dallas for dinner.  Then spending the night at their house.

We met William, River and Cat at an Italian restaurant near their house in Dallas.  The drive there, from our RV campground, was challenging.  It was rush hour, and we had to cross Dallas, from the far west side, over to the east side, straight through the city.  Never again.  Lots of many-laned expressways, loaded with traffic.  Changing from one expressway to the next, needing to cross all lanes of traffic.  Starting and stopping with the traffic.  Yuck.  Give me the Interstates through the middle of nowhere anytime.

We arrived a bit early at the restaurant, so had a beer and hung out, sitting outside on their patio.  Of course, the moment they walked in, it started sprinkling.  So we moved inside.   It was really nice seeing them.  River is adorable, of course.  2 years old.  After dinner, we went to their house, where we stayed overnight.

They have 3 cats and a temporary kitten, plus 2 dogs.  The cats seemed to love Peter, and the kitten was definitely snuggly and adorable.  Peter bought River a firehouse complete with 3 vehicles, three different siren noises that played when the appropriate buttons were pushed, lights that flashed, and a garage door that opened and closed.  River and I enjoyed playing with all of the buttons and actions.  Peter says that River does look a lot like William did at that age.
