Day 13- Jan 21, Robbie & Joe's birthday = day of rest

To celebrate Robbie and Joe's birthdays, we took the day off of travelling and sight-seeing, to catch up on a few things, and just to rest.  So, I did 4 loads of laundry, and we filled up the LP gas tank.  In order to do that, we needed to take the RV over to the KOA campground down the way.  In order to do that, we needed to unhook the electric, the water, and the sewer.  We also needed to retract the bed and buffet slide outs, and put away all of the items left out, since we are stationary for 2 weeks.
Challenge for the day:  the bed wouldn't retract, or then slide out, and was moving caddy-wampus like.  We can't move the RV, unless the slide-outs are all retracted.  Oh no, what to do?  Nothing in the manuals about it, nothing in the way.  So, we called Tiffin service center, who fortunately work on Martin Luther King Jr Day.  He ended up walking me through pulling the bed cabinet apart, finding the little black box inside of the cabinet, finding the little hole in the little black box, and then, using a pen, I needed to push the little reset button, inside the little hole, six times, and then hold the button in on the 7th time, until a little light started flashing.  Whew!!
It actually worked to reset the system, and we now have a working bed again.
We did get to take a 2 mile walk.  It was cool, but sunny.
I also found out that it takes a lot longer to cook dinner in an RV, than in a fully-stocked, functional kitchen.  But it its really nice eating my kind of food, "at home" in the RV.
