Apr 14 - Shilah Pless's birthday, and Yorktown Battleground & Museum

We went over to the Yorktown Battleground National Park and then over to the Revolutionary War Museum in Yorktown.  We drove around the battleground, and watched a movie about this battle.  This is where the British surrendered to the American revolutionaries in 1781, mostly signifying the end of the Revolutionary War.
We had lunch on the Yorktown River Walk, and then headed over to the Revolutionary War Museum.  Very well done museum.  They also had a living museum portion, where they demonstrated various aspects of life in that era--a camp surgeon explained what they used for medicines, a camp cook explained how they did the cooking, a weaver had her loom, etc.
We drove along the Colonial Parkway, that goes by the York River, and is very scenic.
We had our weekly Hangouts call with the family, and I spoke with Shilah and gave her our birthday wishes.
