We left the very nice Hidden Cove RV Resort early this morning and drove over to Winfield, AL, where the Tiffin Motorhomes factory is. Since our 1 year warranty is up next month, we needed to have all of the big and little items on the RV fixed. And, since we were already in Alabama, 1 hour from the factory, we made an appointment to have them fix it.
The folks here are really nice and very helpful. It turns out we needed to stay over, since they were not finished fixing everything (their workday runs from 7am to 3:30pm). So, they are letting us stay in our RV, inside the facility. They even gave us a conference room to set up our computers in and we can hang out in their office lounge for the evening.
Everyday, they give a tour of the manufacturing plant. So we went on it. They only produce 3 RV's per day. This facility only makes the Tiffin Class C RV's, like ours. They have two other facilities that make the Class A and the trailers. It was quite eye-opening to see how these RV's are made.
