Then we drove over to the Natural Bridge. The longest sandstone bridge in AL. It was really cool. There was the arched bridge, with a cavern in back of and underneath it. But then there was a mile trail along this ridge that had several caverns, all with really incredible stone water-carved designs. Very neat place.
On the way back, we passed by and stopped at the oldest jail in AL. It was real creepy. A small 2 room wooden building. Built in 1870's. We also passed by and stopped at the biggest confederate flag we've ever seen, flying over a memorial to the Civil War soldiers--out in the middle of nowhere.
