Today we spent the day in Tuscaloosa, AL, at the University of Alabama. We hiked the trails along the River Walk (couple of miles), in a very nice park along the river just across from the University. We sat in the sun and read a bit. Then we met up with Peter's son, William, and his girlfriend, Chelsea. Had a delicious dinner and nice conversations.
Since I didn't want to drive the 1-1/2 hour drive back to the RV, and since we are having lunch tomorrow with William, we decided to stay in a motel for the night. Unfortunately, we stopped at an Econolodge, right on the route into Tuscaloosa. I guess you get what you pay for. Not exactly up to my standards. Oh well. Live and learn--again.
Oh yes, I wanted to mention that spring is definitely here in Alabama. Lots of flowering trees, azaleas, forsythias, and even a tulip! So nice to see.
