Aug 1 - 15, 2020 Events at home

For the last couple of months, Anica, Evie, Claire and Ian (and sometimes Peter) have been driving up to Orion's house in Shutesbury and have been cleaning it out, getting it ready for Claire and Ian to rent from the new landlords, Anica and Aaron.  Since I have had the most time available, I have been going up generally twice a week.  I have gone through ALL of Orion's papers, and office stuff, that he had accumulated for the last 30 years.  And he kept all of his paperwork.  I carted 25 grocery bags full of paper to the Shutesbury town hall recycling bin.  We had professional cleaners come in and clean the house, the carpets and the furniture.  A local kid living at Sirius came and mowed the lawns.  Orion had a very nice back yard, complete with a little boardwalk leading to a bench in the woods.  He had a large, screened in porch added on to the back of the house, and remodeled half of the garage into a two room office.  So Claire and Ian will have plenty of room.  They will have a library, a game room, a guest room, and a craft area in the finished part of the basement.  The house is finally starting to feel less like Orion's house and more like it is ready for Claire and Ian to move in--sometime around the beginning of September.

Peter and I went over to Anica's house to celebrate her 40th birthday, August 14th.  We haven't been there since Covid, and it was great to actually get to spend time with Quinn and Owen, and Anica and Aaron.  Quinn and I did a few craft projected, that Quinn had planned out, and Owen showed me around his backyard and his room with his fish aquarium.

And, we finished our 2nd 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle.  More Covid at home time.
