Lou had a Dog Agility Training class for his two dogs. Jan and I went with him to watch. It was fun watching Lou run after the dogs, to tell them what to do next in the obstacle course. The classes are held at one of the seven Recreation Centers that are a significant part of Sun City. It is one of hundreds of clubs the residents of Sun City can join. Sun City was developed in the 70's through the 90's, in three or more phases. Lou and Jan live in the phase 2 group. The are all "over 55" communities. The facilities and communities are all really clean and well maintained.
Lou took us on a tour of three of the Recreation Centers. I was very impressed. The quality of all of the clubs was very professional. They had some of the best woodworking and metal working shops I've ever seen. The quality of the products they make are extremely high, artistic quality. And there were all kinds of various craft shops, educational clubs, travel groups, sports, fitness, games, dancing, etc. Anything a group of folks want to do. We saw their model railroad. A huge set up for model trains. Very elaborate. One of the Recreation Centers had a park, with a little lagoon. Beautiful place to hang out.
We watched the next two episodes of Star Trek: Picard. As I said, we were hooked.
