Apr 24 - Tuscaloosa, AL and Lake Lurleen State Park

We went into town in the morning, because we decided to go visit a different nearby lake and park, Lake Nicol, in the afternoon.  Last year, William, Peter's son took us hiking on the trail around the lake, and it was very beautiful.  So, after our picnic lunch at our "mobile office", we drove over to the park, only to find it CLOSED, due to the Corona virus.  I think we are very fortunate that the Lake Lurleen State Park is still open.
So, we headed back to Lake Lurleen, and did the 2-mile-out-and-2-mile-back hike to the dam.  It is such a nice hike.  Half of it is by the water's edge, and the other half is through the woods, on the hillside rim.  The dam is a great hiking goal and a nice place to hang out.  However, this time, it was so sunny and hot, we couldn't sit and read out in the sun.  So we headed back, and sat on the lake-side swing, reading, and thoroughly enjoying the afternoon.
We ended up ordering pizza, which they delivered!  It was good too.  I made a salad, and we had a nice dinner.  Watched the Men In Black-3 DVD.  What fun.
