I went for a quick mile long hike out to the lake and along one of the hiking paths early morning, while Peter did some computer catch up.
Our water pump was giving us problems, not turning off when we turned off the water. We were concerned with it burning out, so we were manually turning it on and off each time we turned on the water. This only applied if we didn't have full hookup at the camp--which most State Parks don't have. Since we knew we'd be in Geneva, OH area for 3 days, we found an RV repair shop nearby and scheduled an appointment for today. Since the repair man told us we needed to replace, not fix, the pump, and that it would only take 1/2 hour, we decided to just take the RV and wait.
Of course, once we got there, and since the repair person was SO nice and friendly, we also mentioned the awning issue, and the bed retraction issue (that the other RV repair folks were Supposed to have fixed). So we ended up spending 1/2 the day there. The repair man was so nice, he drove us over to the local Pub for lunch, then later picked us up. And he fixed everything! Such a deal --of course it was an expensive deal, but we now don't need to worry about the bed or the water. And we are at the beginning of our westward journey.
I spent the rest of the afternoon on a park bench overlooking Lake Erie. Made dinner, then went into the local ice cream parlor--again. On the way back, we stopped and watched the very red sun set over the lake. Beautiful. Watched another episode of Start Trek Enterprise.
