- State Parks are beautiful places to RV camp. At least during the summer, many folks come to State Parks to CAMP. So they do things like evening campfires, cooking out over an open fire, and hanging out around outside, even when it is buggy and very, very hot and humid. Lots of families.
- That's a bit different from us who are traveling in an RV, and spending time at a State Park. We cook in the RV, over a stove. We may eat outside, if it isn't too buggy or hot. We have air conditioning. We need do grocery shopping, do the laundry, vacuum the RV, update blogs, etc.
- Many RV campgrounds, versus State Parks, have mostly folks staying for a while in one location. So there tends to be older folks, lots of dogs, and lots more folks sitting outside, doing not much of anything.
- We do find very friendly folks in most of the places we stay. That is nice.
Today's challenge--we needed to empty the grey water tank (not the black water tank). We could either pack up the RV, and take it over to the nearby dump station, and empty the tank, OR, we ended up borrowing a small mobile tank, on wheels, to empty the grey water into, then we wheeled it over to the dump site. Since most State Parks are not full hook-up, it may be a very useful item to acquire, if we can figure out where to store it. Nice neighbor lent his to us, and taught us how to work it.
We spent the day just hanging out. It was very sunny, hot and humid. We did an early morning walk, along the Lake. I spent the afternoon sitting by the lake, in the shade, with a very cool breeze, reading. Very relaxing and enjoyable. I cooked dinner, and we watched a couple of Star Trek Enterprise episodes.
