Sept 12 - 24, 2022, MA activities and family photos.

Sept 13 - finished yet another jigsaw puzzle.  I liked this one, because it had different shaped pieces.  And, different colors, and designs.  Still, it took me a while to finish.

Sept 14 - I got to watch Tamara's kids today, as she had to do a nursing training.  So I got to spend some quality time with Sienna, and a bit with Cheyenne and Savannah-after school.

Sept 16 - we had dinner at Claire and Ian's house.  Ian's Mom was there, and we then went over to New Salem, to the 1794 Meeting House, and watched a concert.  The meeting house was actually built in 1794, in this little remote town, and has now been remodeled into a music venue.  Ian's sister is in a group called Windborne.  They mostly sing a cappella, usually about complex social justice issues, throughout history and currently, in the US and around the world.  A delightful evening.

Sept 17 - Anica was at a conference in Colorado, and Aaron was coaching Quinn's soccer game, so Peter & I went there to watch Owen's game, then take him over to Quinn's game.  So much fun to watch.  After lunch, we decided to head on up to "Fruitlands Museum", in Harvard, MA.  This, from their website:

  • Fruitlands Museum has a diverse collection of art and material culture on 210 acres of land, stunning views, and miles of walking trails.
  • In 1843, Amos Bronson Alcott and Charles Lane turned a swath of Harvard farmland into a Transcendentalist experiment in subsistence farming and Emersonian self-reliance, named Fruitlands, which ultimately disbanded after only seven months.  (We lasted a lot longer at Sirius.)
  • But it was a beautiful locale, a beautiful day, a nice hike, and some interesting museum offerings.

Sept 24 - on our way back from grocery shopping in Worcester, Peter & I stopped at Jordan Pond.  This is a small lake, in the middle of Worcester, surrounded by a nice hiking trail.  We had no idea it was even there, until I went exploring one day.

And -- I will post a bunch of family photos, since I had downloaded them to the computer, and they are really nice.
