Tamara &Mike's wedding week - July 1 - July 6, 2022

 Tamara & Mike's Wedding week - July 1 - July 6, 2002

What an incredible week.  After not seeing family and friends, due to Covid, for years now, this has been such an amazing delight.  Oh, and it was also a very wonderful wedding reception.  We started off the week when Shanti and family, along with Robbie, flew in and stayed Friday night at our condo.

Saturday - July 2nd- we all met at Tamara's.  Gabe & Emory had flown in on Friday and went to Claire's.  Mike's sister, Laurie and family were already there.  Joe arrived. Anica and family arrive.  The kids had a great time playing with all of their "toys".  We all sat outside, in the beautiful, warm weather, and enjoyed each other's company.  Some of the adults played with Mike's toys too.  It did rain for a little while, but we had set up some tents.  We had dinner together, and most of us went back to the Homeward hotel in Hadley.

Sunday- The Wedding Day -July 3rd- Since the wedding wasn't until late afternoon , those of us at the hotel went out for lunch at The Pulse, as vegan restaurant down the road from the hotel.  Good food. Lois & Ken, Scott, Amy & Adelle arrived.  Joe and his son, Jeshuah and family arrived.  We all met at the wedding venue - an outdoor pavilion, easily seating all 190 people.  The wedding ceremony was conducted by their friend, who had also done the legal ceremony 2 years ago during Covid.  The caterer had both vegetarian and "regular" food options, very well done.  Dancing followed and general partying well into the night.  What a great day. And, I have to say it's sort of nice having a wedding after having 3 kids and 14 years of life together.

Monday - July 4th -Tamara held a picnic brunch buffet in their large, toy-filled yard --tree-houses, trampolines, pools, climbing structures and swings & slides.  Tree-shaded yard and beautiful weather made for a nice day with family and friends.  It's so great having all of my kids and family here to hang out with.  Monday evening most of us went out for dinner at Chili's.  We had a very long "family" table.

Tuesday - July 5th - Scott, Amy, Adelle and most of the teen-agers went to Six Flags for the day.  The rest of us went Look Park.  They have a little petting zoo, and a water-park and a play-ground.  After that, we went over to Skinner State Park on top of Mt Holyoke.  What a view, and lots of climbing rocks.  So the day satisfied young and old alike.  And it was great having Joe join us all of these days.  We don't get to see much of him.  Tuesday evening we returned to the condo for the night, instead of continuing to stay in the hotel in Hadley.  Anica and family joined us, so they wouldn't need to drive so far.

Wed - July 6th - we spent the day at the beach at the Lake Wyola State Park Beach, formerly known as the Shutesbury town beach.  Mike brought their pontoon boat and we did boating sessions, as the boat could only hold 8 people at a time.  I think we all had fun.  In the evening, we returned to the condo with Robbie this time, as she needed to head to the airport in Boston in the morning.

This was the end of a really wonderful week of family, fun and wedding celebrations.
